NON-SURGICAL TREATMENTS FOR THE FACE
The Ultralift™ LP (HIFU)

The Ultralift™ LP (HIFU)
One of the first signs to betray ageing is loss of elasticity. Ageing collagen causes skin to slacken, with your face evidently less plump and facial contours are lost underneath sagging skin. Now there is a revolutionary nonsurgical treatment which prevents this process from gaining momentum:
Ultralift™ Long-Pulse HIFU machine exclusive to The Dr Sebagh Clinic.
Using the world’s first long-pulse ultrasound wave technology, this is the only treatment that can specifically target the deep foundation below the skin that is addressed in cosmetic surgery without cutting or disrupting the surface of the skin.
Treatment FAQs
Ultralift uses Multi-Functional High Intensity Focused Ultrasound (Multi-Functional HIFU) to stimulate the deep structural support layers of the skin. With a variety of frequencies available, the Ultralift can deliver targeted ultrasound waves to different layers of the dermis to achieve optimum results.
Warm pulses of ultrasound energy are delivered deep under the skin, causing the muscle layer to contract. The gentle heat also encourages a natural process of rejuvenation stimulating collagen production. The heat produced by ultrasound waves increases blood flow which distributes fibroblastsmto the tissue encouraging and assisting the body’s natural process of collagen synthesis. Ultrasound waves are also capable of selectively impairing aged collagen, triggering the body’s natural healing response to further stimulate collagen production in a specific area. In this way, The Ultralift treatment will stimulate the growth of new collagen over time, to gradually strengthen and tone your skin from within.
HIFU machines achieve a skin tightening effect through stimulating neocollagenesis in the dermis. Pulses of ultrasound energy delivered deep under the skin causes older collagen fibres to denature, triggering the body’s injury response which promotes collagen
synthesis. The Dr Sebagh Ultralift™ LP machine achieves a more intense concentration of ultrasound energy, creating thermal coagulation points which trigger a more intense response, resulting in maximum collagen formation.
This new technology has facilitated targeting the superficial musculoskeletal aponeurotic system of the face (SMAS), a deeper muscular layer in the face, which is key to achieving a lifting effect in the facial area and the neck. The Dr Sebagh Ultralift™ LP HIFU machine provides the only treatment to specifically target this deep foundation below the skin. The ultrasound waves can target the muscle layer causing it to contract, strengthen, tighten. Achieving a immediate lift and importantly a gradual, progressive, long lasting neck and face lift. The effect is accumulative and will improve session on session.
The exclusive Dr Sebagh Ultralift™ LP machine comes with different head attachments, with a variety of frequencies, to target different layers of the skin.
Following a consultation, your doctor will start by prepping the skin for treatment, sanitising the treatment area and removing any makeup. The doctor will then proceed to apply ultrasound gel to the treatment area, before applying a variety of Dr Sebagh Ultralift™ LP heads to your skin, depending on the location and desired depth.
Treatment for full face and neck takes approximately 30 minutes with duration dependent on the size of the treatment area.
Most patients will experience an immediate effect, with skin feeling tighter, smoother and more lifted. Optimal results are seen two to three weeks after treatment as ageing collagen is replaced with new, stronger collagen.
Although some sensation can be felt during the treatment it is unlikely to be painful, with some mild discomfort as the worst-case scenario. What can be felt during the treatment is tiny amounts of concentrated ultrasound energy delivered below the surface of the skin. Any discomfort experienced is temporary and a positive sign of stimulation of neocollagenesis.
The level of discomfort can vary patient-to-patient, but we will be sure to consult with you prior to your treatment to ensure your experience is as pleasant as possible.
There are some mild side effects that can occur after treatment with the Ultralift™ LP (HIFU) machine. There may be a slight redness to the skin immediately after treatment will resolve within an hour or so.
In the most extreme cases, some patients report swelling, tingling sensation, tenderness and bruising on or around the treated area but these side effects will subside within a few days of treatment.
There is absolutely zero downtime following treatment with the Ultralift™ LP (HIFU) machine. Most people can return to their regular activities immediately following the procedure. You should avoid exposing your skin to extremes of heat and cold and protect your skin with SPF. Your normal makeup regime can be followed immediately.
Although there will be an immediate and enduring effect after only one session with Dr Sebagh's Ultralift™ LP (HIFU) machine, the effect is cumulative and will improve session on session.
Depending on the level of lifting and tightening required, Dr Sebagh recommends treatment with Ultralift™ LP (HIFU) roughly two to four times per year for a bespoke treatment.
A good candidate for Ultralift™ LP (HIFU) is someone with skin that has "relaxed" to the point of looking, and often feeling, less firm. A lowered brow line or sagging skin on the eyelids, for instance, is often the first sign of "maturing" skin. While Ultralift™ LP (HIFU) is not a replacement for surgery, there are many people who want some lifting but are not ready for surgery, either mentally, financially or logistically.

“I'm on the hunt for clever, stealthy ways to rejuvenate without looking weird. And so to see Dr Jean-Louis Sebagh...'The future is prejuvenation,' he informs me on arrival. 'The golden rule to age well is to lift the face before you plump it.' As a starting point he recommends High Intensity Focused Ultrasound, which effectively lifts skin by heating up the muscular tissue under the skin (otherwise known as SMAS) to tighten the face.”– Olivia Falcon, Contributing Beauty Editor for Country and Townhouse

“After just a single session, cheekbones appear elevated and the eye area more awake – even the jawline appears firmer. And best of all, it's bespoke... It's also beautiful on the neck – mothers of the bridge, take note.”– Tatler Wedding Guide 2021
